We always use Incognito mode for browsing privately to keep your data private. But the question lies how secure is it?. So in this article let's understand how secure is incognito mode.?
What is Incognito Mode?
Incognito Mode is basically a new window that your browser opens. The central idea of this Incognito mode is that whatever you search in incognito mode will be kept private and will not appear in search history and whatever cache files are generated will get deleted as soon as you close the session. The incognito mode helps you in keeping your data private and also helps to keep your browser cookies private that are solely responsible for the personalized ads that you see in apps or websites.
How secure is Incognito Mode?
Even if the browsing history & Cookies are deleted from your computer still your ISP(Internet Service Provider) would be able to track the sites that browse as the Internet is still routed through the service provider. Also, a fact to note is that files deleted by the browser can still be recovered using a data recovery software. And if due to some system error the system crashes take place after closing your browser the files will not get deleted and hence could still be found. In some cases, your Bookmarks and downloads are still visible. Some extensions are also given permission to operate even when in Incognito Mode. Your activity might still be visible to your employer or school when using a public WiFi or Ethernet connection. Keeping in mind these factors what we can say is that Incognito mode is not a completely private browsing experience but none the less it can still add an additional level of privacy to your browsing.
