Bose Frames AR Audio Sunglasses :-Dope Tech Explained

Bose showcased a new futuristic concept of AR Audio Sunglasses at the SXSW Festival. Bose Frames is a unique device that will deliver Audio AR.So Let's take a Look at what these Bose Frames have on offer.

Frames are actually “audio augmented reality,” as one would expect from Bose. That means, in spite of offering the sunglasses form factor, there’s no heads-up display on board here. The aim instead is to offer a more immersive audio experience.

Bose AR devices combine data from embedded motion sensors with GPS information from your phone, which they connect with via Bluetooth. GPS detects where a user is, and the nine-axis sensor can determine which direction they’re looking and moving. Small, focused speakers pipe sound toward the wearer’s ears. App developers can tag locations to trigger specific audio cues, or they can just use the motion sensors as a head-based gesture control interface.

No actual content has been announced yet that’s going to start arriving at some point next year. Though the company mentions applications like gaming, learning and travel (think audio-based tour guides for starters) as possibilities. Assuming, of course, you’re in a spot where wearing a pair of sunglasses makes sense. The on-board battery should last around 3.5 hours on a charge, with 12 hours of standby time.

Bose Frames Price & Availability

The Bose Frames AR Audio Sunglasses are up for pre-orders at $199(Roughly around Rs.14,300) and will ship from January 2019 in the US. They will available in Two Different Styles.
