We use Batteries everywhere like smartphones,smartwatches and many other electronic devices.While using these devices we always have fear that the phone's battery might blast while charging or in other scenario.So here comes the concept of a new type of batteries that are sodium sulphate batteries.So let's see what are Sodium Sulphate batteries and its advantages.

 What is a Sodium Battery?
A Sodium battery is battery that is made from Sodium Sulphate. These batteries are an alternative to the conventional Lithium ion.

 What's Different than Conventional Lithium ion Batteries ?
Sodium Sulphate is the main primary element used in these batteries.As the chemicals in these batteries do not explode which make it blast proof.Currently these batteries have not been used on a large scale in day to day devices but more and more researches are being conducted for the implementation.

2.We can use these batteries in human implants like a pacemaker as these batteries are blast proof.These batteries are available in nanowire form as well to make it easy to be used in an implant.
3.The batteries are flexible and can be used in various foldable electronics.These batteries are also available in a circular belt form that can be used in smartwatches 
4.A research also states that in future we will be able to charge these batteries with the help of human sweat .
5.Even if the battery leaks the chemicals inside the battery are not harmful for our body.

Expected Year of  Mass Production of Sodium Batteries?
Many chinese researchers are working closely to bring these batteries to the market.The expected mass production of these batteries is stated to be around 2020.Many Tech Giants like Samsung,Toshiba and LG are investing heavily on this technology.
