How Hyperloop Works?Faster than Aeroplane


The Fastest mode of transportation that we currently have  is an Aeroplane which travels at speeds 1000 km/h which is great but not all people can travel through an aeroplane.But what if I say you could travel even faster than an aeroplane at much lower cost.This is made possible thanks to a concept called as Hyperloop.So let's see what is this concept all about and how we will be able to achieve speeds faster than an Aeroplane.

What is the concept of Hyperloop?
Hyperloop is basically a open source project that was first introduced by Elon Musk in 2012.So the basic idea is that we will have  large tubes built on pillars throughout the route of the Hyperloop.

Through these tubes many pods will travel between the route.All the pods will run on clean energy.The Speeds that we will be able to get is around 1200 km/h which is more than an aeroplane

How does Hyperloop work?
So basically the pods will run on clean energy.So  the concept is that we will use Electric Linear motors.In  normal motors as we have the two basic components the stator and the rotar.So here in Hyperloop the stationary part or the stator of the induction motor is a electromagnet which will be laid as in the forms of tracks.While the rotor will be a part of the pods that will travel through the tube.So as soon as the motor is set into motion we are good to go.But as we need to get greater speeds what we need to do is constantly keep removing the air from the tubes with the help of pumps so as there is no opposing force.The tubes won't be complete vacuum but there would we some air with low pressure.Now as the pod moves forward it will compress the air in the front and at some point it's speed will decrease.So for this purpose we have a dedicated compressor which will remove the air through the fins of the pods.The pods will levitate in the air because of the phenomenon of magnetic levitation


By ensuring that we get least resistance we will be able to  achieve greater speeds.It is like going many thousand feets above the sky where we have least resistance.In such a way we will be able to achieve speeds greater than an aeroplane.



What are proposed routes?
There are many proposed routes and many different companies working on this project.Among These one prominent route is Mumbai To Pune Where we will be able to cover this Distance with the help of Virgin Hyperloop in 25 min.



What are the Real Life Concerns?
Effect of Speed
The kind of effect that these high speeds will have on our body is still unknown.

Earthquake
If we have a sudden Earthquake even a small impact at those great speeds will prove to be fatal.

Emergency Braking
Till date we have not been able to develop a system that could help is in stopping these high speeds pods in emergency immediately .
