We Have been hearing this term called as Liquid Cooling since many years in the world of computers & mobiles right from Galaxy S6 To the recently launched Poco F1.So In this article let's understand the need of liquid cooling in smartphones and how does it work
Is there a Need of Liquid Cooling in Smartphones ?
The answer is yes.Because day by day our mobile processor are getting faster & powerful .But also with getting powerful comes the disadvantage of processor getting heated up very quickly & as the phone is very compact device with many other components it is not able to dissipate the heat from processor properly which increases the temperature of the processor due to which we suffer from thermal throttling i.e. the processor downgrades it's performance when it exceeds certain temperature to protect itself.
So to overcome this problem of thermal throttling we use Liquid Cooling Technology.
How Does It Work ?
So basically what happens is that a copper hallow tube 1mm is placed above the processor. The tube has various sections like evaporater & condensor .The tube has a liquid inside it.So what happens is that the heat is carried by liquid through the tube to the evaporator where the liquid gets converted into vapour because of the heat that it has carried & then the vapour goes to the condensor where the vapour is again converted back to liquid .So in this whole process the heat is carried away from the processor so that the processor can give you good performance. This whole process results in better performance from the CPU.The Phone remains Cooler even during long gaming sessions & we get a better battery performance.
