Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 :-Tech Explained


Qualcomm yesterday announced their new Snapdragon 670 .It is the successor to Snapdragon 660.
The qualcomm snapdragon 660 was the first processor apart from 800 series to feature a Kryo core CPU.Now that Qualcomm has announced 670 lets see how it fares.

 Performance 
Compared to 660 the new 670 has mentione to offer 15% better CPU performance and upto 25% faster graphics performance.It also houses a 3rd gen AI Engine which is said to bring 1.8x faster performance.On the imaging side it has 14 bit Spectra isp with improvements in low light photography.It also supports image stabilization & active depth sensing.

 Architecture & Lithography
Just like the snapdragon 710 the snapdragon 670 is also based on the 10nm FinFeT Technology.The processor has Kryo 360 Cpu featuring two high performance cores clocked at 2.0 Ghz and six power efficent cores cloacking at 1.7 Ghz .The Kryo 360 CPU is coupled with Adreno 615 GPU for better graphics performance

 Other features of Snapdragon 670
This new chipset supports up to 25MP for single cameras and 16MP for dual cameras. On the connectivity front, it features Snapdragon X12 Modem that delivers up to up to 600 Mbps download speeds and up to 150 Mbps upload speeds. The Snapdragon 670-powered smartphones are sport up to Full HD+ displays. Just like the Snapdragon 660, the new Snapdragon 670 also supports Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology.

 The Snapdragon 670-powered devices will be hitting the consumer markets in Q3 2018.
